Adult Group Lesson Information

Snow Sports School

Choose from full day, morning or afternoon sessions to improve your skills and feel more confident on your skis. There are special adult first timer classes, Discover Moonlight Basin, that are three days and include limited lift access. In group lessons, participants are placed into small class sizes according ability. Half-day lessons start at $67 sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00pm or from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lesson prices do not include rental, lift ticket or gratuity. All Moonlight instruction meets at Madison Base area. Reservations are recommended, especially during the holiday seasons. Snowboard School
Big Sky's Moonlight Snowboard School is the place to be if you or your family are looking to learn how to snowboard or to improve your existing skills. With an emphasis on safety, fun and learning, the instructors teach snowboarding while showing students how to enjoy the mountain in a safe and responsible manner. Whether you are an absolute beginner who has never ever tried snowboarding or a seasoned rider, the Snowboard School has a lesson geared to your level. Choose from full day, morning or afternoon sessions. Private lessons are offered at all of these and higher levels of instruction with a focus on freestyle, all mountain freeriding, or alpine carving. The demand for these lessons is high and advance reservations are recommended.

Private Instruction
At Moonlight Basin, instruction can be tailored to individual learning style at a comfortable pace. Whether one-on-one or in small, similar ability groups, Moonlight Basin's personalized classes boost skills.

Adults and children (3 years and up) can arrange to meet instructors at one of several convenient locations, including your Moonlight Basin home or lodging rental unit. Lessons begin at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Skiing, Snowboarding, Telemark Skiing, and Adaptive Skiing:
Full Day Private Lesson:......... $570 (9 a.m. start time)
Half-Day Private Lesson:........ $365 (9 a.m. or 1 p.m.)


One or two-hour private lessons are available on a walk-in basis only, and cost $125.00/ hour. The above pricing does not include lift tickets or equipment rentals.
