After the snow is gone, Big Sky's scenic gondola ride up Lone Peak provides our summer visitor with a bird's eye panoramic view of the surrounding mountain tops. The scenic lift rises 1,525 vertical feet from Big Sky Village to an elevation of 9,047 feet.
Bring your mountain bike along for some high-altitude riding. Ride the scenic lift round-trip for leisure. Challenge your lungs with a nice workout of hiking down to the village on self-guided nature trails. If you are really feeling energetic, tackle the summit of Lone Peak. The Big Sky Gondola operates daily 10:00 - 4:00pm, June through September, weather permitting. Tickets may be purchased in Big Sky Sports in the Mountain Mall. Prices range from $11 for a single ride for youth to $28 for all day adult pass.

There's no place like Big Sky to start learning about rock climbing techniques or becoming an even more proficient climber. 'Reach Your Peak' is a local company that has climbing trips and instruction for all abilities. These adventures take place in southwest and central Montana. Safety is a priority and the teacher to student ratio is 1 to 4. Each trip can be tailored to the clients needs. Most climbing locations are within a short distance of Bozeman, while others are more remote or secluded for a total ‘climb for yourself’ situation.
