Big Sky Mountain Biking & Hiking
Find ways to explore the Gallatin National Forest and Lee Metcalf Wilderness, areas of amazing beauty around Big Sky. Follow trails through a forrest of pine trees, Douglas fir and aspen trees. Venture above tree line and be rewarded with high-mountain vistas with views of Lone Mountain, the expansive Gallatin and Madison mountain ranges and the Spanish Peaks range.
Big Sky has an extensive trail system and there are trails suited to all levels of bikers and hikers. Before heading out to explore, speak with the Moonlight Concierge for information on local trails, maps, rental gear and tour guides.
Scenic chair lift rides are available in the summer months, weather permitting. A lift pass can be purchased in Big Sky Village, and bike hauls are available.
