Moonlight Basin has events around its lifts and lodges, including family and kid-focused programs. On-going winter activities include guided snowshoe tours, wildlife talks and and avalanche dog demonstrations. Summer brings hiking, fishing, horseback rides, and outdoor yoga classes. Stop by the Mountain Concierge Desk in the Moonlight Lodge to pick up hiking trail maps and other area information.

Summer Events at Moonlight Basin

Yoga on the Deck - Mondays and Fridays, 9:00am,July 2 through September 6 at the Moonlight Lodge.

Guided Hikes with Naturalist Marc Glines -Every Wednesday and Saturday from July through mid-September, 9:00am. All hikes will leave from the Mountain Concierge desk located in the Moonlight Lodge.

Fly Fishing Clinics and 3 day School - July 6 & August 3, 9, 17, 23

BBQ on the Deck of Moonlight Lodge - Every Tuesday through September, starting at 5:30pm, with live music and family fun on the deck of the Lodge. An all you can eat BBQ dinner includes traditional BBQ, side dishes, cornbread, dessert, and a non-alcholic beverage. $18.95 for adults, $9.95 for kids 12 and under.

Church in the Pines - Sundays, 9:30am
A non-denominational service on the patio of the Headwaters Grille at the Madison Village Base area, surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains.

Search & Rescue Dog Demonstration - Saturdays, 2pm
Meet the Moonlight Basin Ski Patrol and avalanche dogs and take part in a complimentary interactive demonstration.

Wildlife Talk - Saturdays
Join our resident expert, Marc Glines for animal facts, wilderness activities and a special collection of artifacts.

Guided Snowshoe Hike - Tuesdays
Explore Moonlight Basin's snowshoe trails and learn about Montana wildlife's winter behaviors with a guided 1.5 hour snowshoe hike, led by our resident wildlife specialist, Marc Glines. All abilities welcome and basic snowshoe instruction is offered. Meet at Moonlight Lodge. Pricing to be announced. * Please call the Mountain Concierge for groups of 10 or more. * Special days & times available upon request * Reservations recommended, but not required.
