Moonlight Basin in Big Sky Montana

Moonlight Basin - Skiing at Montana's Newest Ski Resort

Moonlight Basin in Big Sky MT is America’s newest ski resort, featuring 1,900 acres of extraordinary ski terrain on the north face of Big Sky’s Lone Mountain. Known for uncrowded slopes, lack of lift lines, quiet tree glades, perfect groomed runs, steep terrain, and abundant powder, the Resort offers a variety of winter recreation. Visitors to Moonlight Basin will find this a vacation experience that creates memories.

Preservation of the environment is key tenet at Moonlight Basin Resort, and thousands of acres of mountain and forest terrain were placed into permanent conservation easements. A feeling of Montana’s grandeur is in place as you share this land with wildlife including elk, eagles, bighorn sheep, moose, and mountain goats. While you're relaxing in the cozy Lodge, rest a bit easier since the open spaces and beauty of Big Sky Country are being preserved, protected, and restored.
