Big Sky's Gallatin River Choose is a great way to start the exploration of blue-ribbon trout streams! Of course, they are many more rivers including the legendary Madison, Big Hole, Yellowstone and Missouri.
Several fishing events are slated for the summer in the region:
From August 16 to August 21, the 2004 Federation of Fly Fishers Conclave will take place in nearby West Yellowstone.
From September 1 to September 6, there will be the 2004 Fly Fishing Festival, in Ennis, Montana. The opening of Montana's general fishing season May 15 marks the day that fish in the state's smaller creeks and streams once again become fair game for anglers.
Montana's fishing regulations are available at all FWP offices and from license providers throughout the state.
