US Forest Service Winter Snowshoe Program
Yellowstone National Park Come join Gallatin National Forest employees and learn about the great outdoors during the winter. The program is geared for beginners. All programs last 2 – 3 hours unless stated. Come learn why Refuge Point was a vital meeting place after the 1959 Hebgen Lake Earthquake. Program is free, snowshoes are not provided but available at local merchants. Meet at the Forest Service at 1:00 pm.

West Yellowstone Visitor Info Center Join a Yellowstone National Park Ranger for a 2-mile walk into Yellowstone National Park along the Riverside Trail. Meet at the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center at 30 Yellowstone Avenue at 1:30 PM. Bring snowshoes, water and a snack - Everyone welcome no experience necessary

Bucks T-4 Restaurant Come to the largest fundraiser of the year for Ophir School Council. The eventn raises money for incidental expenses at Ophir. This year’s event will feature the traditional elements - silent auction, live pie auction, and raffle - but new this year will be the chance to kick up your heels during the post-auction Promenade. This will be a great opportunity to dress up, whether that means dressing for a prom past or present, or simply wearing those nice clothes you never get to wear in Big Sky.

Madison Village Base Area Discover snowshoe trails at Moonlight Basin and learn about Montana wildlife's winter behaviors with a guided snowshoe hike, led by Moonlight's resident wildlife specialist, Marc Glines. All snowshoe abilities welcome including beginners, basic snowshoe instruction offered.

Big Sky Institute "What’s killing our trees?" Amy Gannon from DNRC will be discussing Public tree health at the Big Sky Institute on Friday, February 26th. This meeting will begin at 4pm with a field site visit to study trees and identify sick trees and the pests that may be infecting them. The lecture will conclude at the Big Sky Institute where Amy will discuss general tree health and the latest in pest control. Come and find out what is killing our trees and what you can do to help! A fundraiser for the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter brings snow shoeing, a chili feed and live music together at the Madison Village Base Area at Moonlight Basin. Register starting at 5:30pm at the Madison Village Base Area. Event is $20 which is a direct donation to the HOV and includes trail use, chili and live music.

Half Moon Saloon & Restaurant For Anne & Pete Sibley, it is the simplicity of the music: the words, the vocals, the harmonies. In April, 2009, the Sibleys took top honors in the Great American Duet Sing-Off on NPR's A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.
