The Arts Council of Big Sky is an organization located in Big Sky, Montana. Since 1988, this non-profit has been providing musical and artistic performances throughout the year, and is funded solely by performance attendance fees, resort tax dollars and donations. 'Music in the Mountains' brings some of the world’s finest entertainment to Big Sky each summer, where artists perform outdoors in the Meadow Village Pavilion. Past performers include the Doobie Brothers, Muir String Quartet,Randy Travis, Bonnie Raitt, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Del McCoury, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This year's headliner is Willie Nelson, who will be in concert in Big Sky on September 3, 2010.
