Instructors create a safe environment where children build confidence while improving their skiing and riding skills. With small class ratios, every child receives caring and personalized attention. Groups are arranged by similar-ability, making for a fun and supportive memorable mountain experience.
Kids 10 years and under ski free at Moonlight Basin. Half day lessons start at $85.00 and full day lessons start at $130.00. Multi-day lesson packages are available. All rental equipment is available at Moonlight Basin

Junior Learn to Ski Package

This lesson package for children wanting to learn to ski or snowboard includes an introductory lesson. It covers the basics of skiing and feeling comfortable on the slopes.

Lift ticket is only valid on Magic Carpet & Derringer Chairlift.The Jr Learn to Ski Package is not available Holiday or Presidents' Week.

Tenderfeet Group Ski Packages (Ages 4-6 years)

Tenderfeet Group Lessons are full, morning or afternoon half day sessions. Lunch is included for both full day and multi-day sessions. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and children must be registered and ticketed by 9:15 a.m.

Mountain Wranglers(ages 7-10 and 11-14)

For older kids, let the experienced instructors safely coach kids through Moonlight Basin’s unique features in the terrain park. Kids develop and refine skills through exploration at this winter playground. Lunch is included for all full day and multi-day sessions.

Lesson Schedule
Full Day Lessons: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Half-Day Morning Lesson: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Half-Day Afternoon Lesson: 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
