Golf Courses
In Big Sky, there is a public 18 hole, par 72 golf course at the Meadow Village. Designed by Arnold Palmer, this golf course has a classic links style, winding along the scenic banks of the West Fork of the Gallatin River.
At 6,500 feet above sea level you will experience longer drives! The course also offers both a driving range and putting green, and is open from Memorial Day weekend through early October, weather permitting. Tee times can be reserved by calling 406-995-5780. Relive your best shots at the Bunker Bar and Grill after a day on the links. Stop by the fully-equipped pro shop and talk to the Big Sky resident teaching professionals while there.
Other area golf courses include Moonlight Basin, The Club at Spanish Peaks and Yellowstone Club. When booking your visit with East West Resorts, please inquire about availability at the Reserve at Moonlight Basin, the private par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
Disc Golf
An alternative to traditional golf, Disc Golf is also available at the Mountain Village. In this game, all the rules of golf apply, including etiquette. A frisbee replaces clubs and balls and a chain basket is the target! This 18-hole adventure course is great outdoors fun and excellent exercise. To access the disc course, ride the Scenic chairlift up and then tee off at the top Africa on the Andesite Mountain. The 18 hole course winds down the mountain. Spend a few hours enjoying the fresh air and great views!
A one-time Scenic lift ride ticket is around $20.00 for adults and $12.00 for children aged 11-17. Two children of 10 and under can ride free with each paying adult. The game is free to play and you can buy or rent discs, like drivers and putters, at Big Sky Sports. Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended. Click to see a PDF version of the Big Sky Disc Golf Map >
